This bed is really sophisticated looking and easy to put together. However, be prepared to add 3/4" thick plywood base over the very slim cheap 5 bars that they give you to support your mattress. It cost us $60 in plywood but was really worth the extra cost to have such a nice looking bed for the cost of it. It is comfortable to lean against to read in bed and padded sides make it safe when bumping into it in the middle of the night. I really feel I have a great looking bed but the base is not sufficient to hold any decent size mattress.

Leather look real, nice supple feel. Packaged well, easy to put together. Cons: Need to add more support boards underneath, so low to floor that we often stub our toes & can't vacuum underneath, there is wasted height space where the boxspring sits on side rails, which means that the boxspring is seen (this could easily be fixed by manufacturer. It replaced a wood bed from Pier 1 which was higher quality. But overall we're satisfied w/ this bed for the price ($450).

After looking at many King sized beds priced at roughly ~$1000 in stores, and not finding one that would either match our existing bedroom furniture or appeal to our style (a versatile conservative/classic modern look), I found this leather bed online. In spite of some trepidation about possible shipping damage and accompanying headache with having to return it, it had absolutely the right price and look. I placed the order. After a minor (two day) delay in receiving the bed due to a minor cost dispute between the shipper and the merchant that had apparently been settled by everyone except for whom I was talking to on the phone, the bed arrived. It was well packed and in great condition and went together fairly easily. It looks FANTASTIC and because it is leather it doesn't have to match the existing furniture exactly, like would be expected with a wooden bed frame, so we did not have to buy any other new bedroom furniture and saved even more money from that decision. We are thrilled with this purchase.
