The Item clearly states that it is a SERTA Seattle Platform bed. The box that it comes in says it is the Soho Platform bed. NOWHERE on the box does it say SERTA, so if you think you are getting name brand furniture, you are very wrong.I also ONLY searched for BLACK as the color and this popped up as an option. THE BED IS NOT BLACK!!! It is a dark brown color like cappuccino.I weighed my options and decided that a lengthy return process was not an option for me. I decided to put it together.First off the packaging was HORRIBLE! The box looked like it was put through hell and back. Ripped cardboard, holes in it. I could actually put my entire arm in the box with the opening on some of the damage.Due to extreme mishandling a piece of the wood had chipped on the side rail about 2.5 inches long. I thought I was going to blow at this point. Extremely unhappy with my purchase, as I had lined up all black furniture and not I cannot decorate my room the way I had intended.I will not buy anything that is heavy and needs to be assembled off of Amazon ever again.

OKAY, IT IS A REALLY NICE HEAVY PLATFORM BED, AND LOOKS JUST LIKE THE PICTURE SO 4 STARS FOR THAT, JUST MINUS 1 STAR FOR THE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE PACKAGING/SHIPPING WHICH RESULTED IN DAMAGE!!!!I ORDERED THIS ON OCTOBER 14TH AND GOT IT ON THE 18TH SUPER FAST ARRIVAL. THE TRACK PACKAGE SHOWED 1 SHIPMENT BUT THIS ARRIVED IN 2 SEPARATE SHIPMENTS. THE UPS GUY NOTED THE SEVERE DAMAGE TO SHIPMENT 2, THE BIG BOX. IT LOOKED LIKED IT WAS PUNCHED OPEN, DROPPED, RAN OVER AND THEN TAPED BACK TOGETHER. IF THEY HAD STUFFED SOME BIG STYROFOAM CHUNKS IN THE BIG BOX AND HANDLED IT BETTER, THEN MAYBE THE MAIN END LEGS WOULD HAVE SURVIVED THE JOURNEY BUT THEY WERE SPIT APART!!!ALL THAT IS NEEDED, IS TO REPLACE TWO OF THE MAIN CHUNKY END LEGS BUT THEY DON'T SEEM TO HAVE REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THIS BED.GOOD THING THIS IS THROUGH AMAZON BECAUSE BOTH BOXES COMBINED WEIGH OVER A 100LBS FOR FREE RETURN SHIPPING!!!I WAS SO EXCITED TO GET THE BED, AND TO RECEIVE IT LIKE THIS IS A MEGA DISAPPOINTMENT.AMAZON TAKE NOTE: PLEASE USE BETTER PACKAGE PROTECTION WITH LOTS OF STYROFOAM FOR FRAGILE ITEMS YOU SELL TO HELP PROTECT IT DURING SHIPMENT SO IMPORTANT!!!EXTREMELY BAD/POORLY PACKAGED BOX AND HANDLED WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I WILL NOT ORDER SOMETHING SO HEAVY AND FRAGILE ONLINE AGAIN, IT'S JUST EASIER TO GO TO A LOCAL STORE INSTEAD!

Great bed and easy to assemble. The legs on the center support were about an inch too short. I went to home depot and bought a 6 Foot piece of sanded 1X4 lumber and put under the legs for additional support. Works perfect now! I would recommend this bed.
