FYI: This Day Bed Needs a Standard Twin Mattress

Recently brought the King's Brand DBoo2 Metal Day Bed. I realized that I needed a mattress when the frame arrived. Fine. The item info on website gives no info on mattress size. I called amazon help line and the helper told me I needed an 79" long twin mattress which is 1" smaller than an 80" xl twin. There is no 79" mattress so I bought a memory foam to try to squeeze it in. When assembling the frame (easy and very study), there was a small package with instructions to buy a standard twin mattress. I missed cancellation time on the twin xl, bought the standard twin. Mattresses are sent by fedex but return is only thru UPS per amazon return policy. So beware the great mattress mystery. Bed looks nice.

It is great having bedpost to hang my coat, pajama tops and whatever. My girl friend gave me a Japanese bed cover that adds class to my effecency apartment. Added a 10'' mattress and put cardboard over slats to insure my fat body wouldn't squeeze between spaces between slates. Really like this product.
