This headboard is not only beautiful, but it's hefty. It should last many, many years. The design and finish give it a really nice, old-timey look.Here's the tip. Get four lockwashers. 1/4 inch inside diameter will be fine. When you attach the headboard to the bedstead, put a lockwasher between the nut and the flatwasher on each bolt. This will keep the nuts from working loose over time and causing the headboard to wobble.

I ordered these headboards sight unseen for my 9 year old son. I had been looking for a quality metal headboard and saw a more feminine version (and more expensive) in the Ballard Design catalog. Apparently, it was the Oscar headboard by Fashion Bed Group, and that search lead me to this headboard.It is very very sturdy and looks very high quality. I would have no reservation to put these in a guest room as well. They will likely be with my son until he goes to college. They look like they will last that long, and are a great addition to his room. And the price is unreal! These are much nicer than the price would suggest.The hammered brown finish is great - perfect for a little boys room! We love it.

I was so pleased with this headboard! It is beautiful and looks like a vintage iron bed. Assembly was quick and painless. It transformed my guest room - to tell the truth, I wish I had this headboard in my master bedroom! The hammered brown finish is very attractive, also. I totally recommend this headboard!
