Fabulous! Helped Even on top of a (hard) NovaForm Foam Mattress!
By tiff22
We purchased a NovaForm Foam Mattress (12") from Costco in summer of 2012. By fall of 2012 my husband/my bodies were absolutely aching! Note: Mattress would probably be fine for those that are "back sleepers", however, we are both "side & stomach" sleepers. We experienced restless sleep all throughout the night with the uncomfort of our arms falling asleep (occurred at least once a night) and we'd awake with stiff shoulders & neck pain. Regular trips to the chiropractor were a staple for 8 months! So after 8 long months of hating the Foam Mattress (& waiting to see if it would get "softer" once broken in- ya right!) we decided to embark on a bed-research journey. Instead of buying a new mattress, we decided to try a feather bed first (however, I read MANY mixed reviews as to whether anything would actually help atop a memory foam mattress.)FINDINGS: 100% better! What a difference!!! I literally read thousands of reviews on which "Pacific Coast" style feather bed to purchase and decided to go with the "Channel" style as it WEIGHS the most (ie. has the most down feathers to provide the most cushion, without being overstuffed and stiff/hard). We are more than impressed by it's fluffiness and the comfort it provides, ALL night long!QUALITY & SPECS: Feather bed is thicker than I had expected. I assumed the Manufacturer pics to be highly exaggerated for the low price of $234. I was happily mistaken! Very high quality down (as is custom with Pacific Coast brand name reputation). Appears to have a nice, sturdy covering, (so my anticipation of "feathers poking through" is low). Fits a King size bed perfectly (not too big where it flops over, not too small where ends don't reach. Fits just right!)FITTING THE FEATHER BED: We happened to already own a matress protector/sheet (deep pocket sized, which had fit very loosly over the 12" mattress). We simply placed the feather bed underneath the mattress protector sheet, and then placed our deep pocket sized fitted sheet over all 3 (1.mattress, 2.feather bed, 3.protector).Note: Many reviewers (of the "box style" feather bed, NOT this Channel style I am reviewing) commented on the inconvenience of having to "fluff" the featherbed everyday in order for it to have the "same fluffiness" each night. Please notice: We DO NOT take the bed apart every morning/night to "fluff" it as Pacific Coast recommends on their website. Perhaps it's because of the Channel style; but we have found that the feather bed holds it's form & fluffiness perfectly fine on it's own, without daily fluffing. We DO, however, fluff the featherbed on laundry day (once every 2 weeks) when the bed is already taken apart. All in all- best purchase, ever! Sleeping on a cloud, is as accurate as can be!

Just like the Ritz
By Maggie Mom
I bought this down feather bed after learning tht Ritz-Carlton uses Pacific Coast feather beds. This turns a standard mattress into a pillow-top styled mattress. I put the feather bed on my bed under my deep pocket sheets and was asleep as soon as I hit the bed. The price is much better from Pacific Coast than going through the Ritz for the same exact product. All pros no cons--you will love this product.

Awesome Feather Bed
By Teresa
Just like the one at Amelia Island Ritz Carlton. Fits under the mattress pad with no problem. I feel like I am sleeping on a cloud.
