Because of the excellent costumer service I received, I felt I needed to offer my experience with the product and the seller. The bunk beds are a hit, not so much for sleeping but as an indoor jungle gym. Which brings me to my first point the product is made of quality material. As for assembly, it was fairly easy. It took 2 of us around 4 hours, which is not bad when you have 3 kids trying to help. Finally the seller. The product arrived ahead of schedule. When we assembled the bed we had the wrong rails for the drawers on the stairs. The seller, Bedz King, responded to my email quickly and after two attempts we got the right parts (shipped at their expense and quickly). Thank You. The kids enjoy the beds and the extra beds are a plus when there cousins visit. I would recommend this product for any family. It is made of solid wood and the assemble wasn't as bad as some of the products I have had to assemble.

I am pretty happy with this bed, but there are a few things I would have liked to have known before purchasing. The trundle is not on a track. It's okay to pull out, but really hard to put back under the bed. You have to do it perfectly straight, which takes a few tries. Plus the two little knobs are made of silver plastic, NOT metal. I'm afraid they are going to break any minute. They untwist and fall off really easily too, so don't rely on using them to pull out the trundle. The wood is really solid but HEAVY. Once you build it, you can't really move it. I love the stairs with drawers and the shelves on the sides. The black non-slip strip is good, BUT: We only had the bed, one day when my daughter ran up the steps, slipped and cut her lip open really badly. My husband put another wide strip of non-slip stuff to each step and no one has gotten hurt since. Both sides of the bed are open so you can see the trundle from the sides which I don't like, but we have one side against the wall and the other side is where the shelves are so you can't really see it; except that our girls like to crawl underneath from time to time which scares me that they will get stuck! The beams used to hold the beds up are really thick and sturdy. We had a previous bunk bed with really thin beams. I feel much safer having our girls in this bed, especially when I climb on top to change the sheets! Overall, it's a good bed. Solid, sturdy, and I love the dark color.

Good sturdy bed, complicated assembly

Now that the bed is assembled, we are very happy with it. It's very sturdy and made of "real wood." The drawers are big and work very smoothly.It was quite a lengthy process to get the bed together. It took me maybe 10+ hours total of labor. In the initial shipment, about five pieces arrived cracked, which is just one of those things when you order by mail. It was a little difficult to tell which piece was which because there are MANY pieces, and they were not labeled with a letter or number on the piece itself (only in the picture).Bedz King customer service was very courteous and responsive in getting us replacement pieces, quickly and at their expense.After getting the bed almost entirely together, I discovered that two of the drawers could not be assembled because the holes were not aligned properly. It took several tries but we did eventually get the right pieces for those. Again, the customer service was great. It was just quite a process getting the right pieces and actually getting the bed assembled...several weeks in total.But - it's a great bed and worth it in the end.
