Great Product - A+ shiping/packaging
By H. Patel
Let me first start by saying I usually dont take time to write reviews. This product compelled me to write one and I am sure you would do the same after assembling this bed.My wife and I started the search for a bunk bed for our 5 and 2 1/2 year olds few weeks back. We checked out Walmart, kmart, sears, bunkbedkingz and various other sites and hundreds of beds. While some of the beds on bunkbedkingz were beautiful they were outside of our budget. We are very pleased with our purchase and would highly recommed it to anyone without second thought. Our kids cant stop climbing up and down.Pros:- Very Sturdy with beautiful color (better than pictured)- Very easy assembly (this was our top fear as we are not handyman, but the instructions were straight forward and nicely explained (~ 2 hours) Unlike other sites/bed reviews where folks had allignment issues - this one had ever piece aligned perfectly- Bed was delivered within 2 business days with excellent packaging- Beautiful design, rounded corners and high quality soft woodCons:- Could have provided more bed slats for extra support, however the ones that come with it would suffice the need for our kids (comes with 6 slats for each bed - 12 total)I would look for extra ply sheet or slats to make it even more robust to handle kids abuse- Hardest to assemble was the ladder just because it would take quite effort to put the screws in using the allen key. Was very tight but still doable

I guess we can figure it out on our own.

Um, ok, super excited to get my 5-year-old twins their new twin bunk beds.... got their room ready, opened the boxes that were shipped fast and safe.... NO INSTRUCTIONS!?!?! REALLY!!!!!??????That's all I have to say right now.*update*Almost one week into using the new bunk beds, and the kids are so happy! (We're happy we got the instructions via e-mail on a Sunday afternoon.) Got 6" twin mattresses [...] which are good, but seem a bit small for the bed frames. Recommend something perhaps a bit bigger, or need some kind of tube pillow to ensure no dolls or things fall at the space between the mattress and the frame. Also, with the bottom bunk, the side where my child enters the bed is a bit hard on the shins, so we're looking into some kind of cushions for the side rail.All-in-all, seems like a really good deal!

Good, but....
By NJMOM3
For starters, this is a good bed, but it needed some adjustments. On the positive side: It did come with all the parts needed and instructions were clear. The beds were easy to put together. Once they were put together, we added some things. First of all, the only thing supporting the mattresses are the wood slats. The only thing supporting the beds together is a wood dowl in the center of the legs. We added a plate connecting to the outside of the legs, just for extra support. Once together with mattress our child was moving around up top (not jumping,at 50 lbs) and we could hear the slats cracking and see them bending. We added a piece of 1/2'' plywood on top (6'-4''X 39'') of the slats to firm it up, this seemed to work. I cannot believe they are allowed to sell beds with this minimum support, but clearly, they do.The one suggestion I would have, is if you do not already have mattresses to buy the ones they are selling. the reason is this: The mattresses in the stores sold for regular beds are much higher. As is the case with us. We are using the bed rail we had because the mattress is level with the safety bar supplied with the bed.So, its a good bed, but can be a better bed with a few adjustments.
