A Classic Modern Headboard - Made in the USA

Buying furniture online was a definite concern for me so I decided to contact the vendor to see if they would send me fabric samples and boy am I glad I did. Neither the black linen nor the grey linen looks anything like the picture. I was almost set on the black linen because it looked almost like a dark grey in the pictures. Well I can assure you that it is not dark grey but in fact black. In addition, in the picture, the grey looks almost metallic/silver. In person, the grey is not metallic/silver at all. More of a light grey color with a linen texture to it. If you are seriously considering this purchased, I highly advise you to order a fabric sample to make sure there are no surprises.Once I received the grey linen fabric, I really liked the color and texture of the fabric so I decided to take the risk and order (from another website as they were offering 10% off). Well I am glad I took the risk.At first inspection, the headboard seems to be of decent quality. It has an internal wood frame, which feels solid. Please note that the linen fabric covers only the front and sides of the headboard. The back is lined in a different fabric (so this be must be placed against a wall). The tufting is perfectly lined and the pewter metal nails are individual nails (not plastic or strips like those that others had mentioned). Please keep in mind that this product is just the headboard. You will still need to have the frame that connects to the bed. It is also important to note that this headboard may look a little odd if you are using a thin mattress or platform type bed, as you will have a gap between the mattress and where the bottom portion of the headboard starts.The headboard itself came in a cardboard box and in my opinion, I would have liked to of seen better protective wrapping. There however was no damage to the product during delivery.Overall, I could not be happier with this headboard. It is priced competitively and looks far more expensive than it was and I am happy to know it was made in the USA.

i was almost scared to order this after looking at the reviews for the bed but i'm glad i did. the headboard is gorgeous!! its not a dark gray like the picture shows but more along the lines of like a heather gray color. in another review someone says that it looks almost blue or green depending on how you look at it but to me it looks gray. you can tell the nailheads are like one long strip but its still nice looking and they are like a silver color in person. i didn't have any issues putting it together and it seems to be holding up pretty well. this headboard has exceeded my expectations.

OK, with reservations

Good deal for the price, tufting buttons are not even, and the height from the floor to where the backboard starts is too high... using a standard metal bedframe, box spring, and 8 inch mattress, there was still a 2-3 inch gap between the top of the mattress and the start of the headboard! I will have to get bed risers to put under the legs to compensate.Installation (putting it together) isn't difficult, but the instructions are generic, unclear, and the screws/washers indicated are not the ones included in the package! It works, but takes a little figuring out, and some force to screw in some of the screws, because the oversized washers result in screws that just barely reach the threads.
