wonderful buy!!!

I was hesitant at first. Buying a mattress online without even laying on it was a little scary. But I trusted the positive reviews. The price alone was far better than anything I found anywhere online or locally, so I crossed my fingers and bought it. I was not disappointed! Opening the boxes and watching them become a box spring and mattress was a lot of fun. But then I slept on it and it is so comfortable! It is a little firm, but in a great, supportive way! We did not have an odor, in fact there were no cosmetic problems. Our mattress came to the full 13" depth. All in all this was a great purchase and we are very happy! Buy with confidence!!!

A bit diappointed

I read all the reviews very carefully, I was very nervous about buying a mattress that I could not lay on, but I went with the good reviews. The box springs and mattress came on time and were in easy to manage boxes. I opened the box spring and unfolded it and put it on the bed frame, very smart idea. Then I put the mattress on the box springs and cut the straps and let it open up fully for 24 hrs. It is a very nice looking mattress and has a nice pillow top to it. Then I tried it out, excited to feel the "plush comfortable mattress that was in between firm and soft", not so! I feel like I got a different mattress than the rest of the reviewers, mine is VERY firm there is little to no give to it. I went out and bought a Pacific Coast feather top hoping it would help, it did a little but not enough. The problem is now that this mattress is expanded to a regular size how do I return it??? I bought this for my bed, not for guest or my kid, but for my bed. I wake up on and off all night because my hip and shoulders get sore, I am strictly a side sleeper, this may be good for back sleepers who want a more firm mattress but for side sleepers not so much. I give it a two star because of the ingenuity of the fold up box springs, the mattress packaging and Amazon's always great shipping. For comfort if you like a FIRM mattress this is it, if you want any give or "plush" feeling this is NOT the mattress for you.

Great bed, but . . .

After spending wayyy too much time visiting stores and researching reviews online, I finally hit submit for an online bed purchase. I was nervous! I purchased this set in queen-size for my guest bedroom along with 2 twin size (8") for my boys.First of all, I totally agree with other reviewers. The packaging of these items is something to behold. To see the box spring expand when unfolded was an AH HA moment followed by "genius" being mumbled. The mattresses are vaccuum sealed like beef jerky. As soon as the smallest bit of air hits the package it expands like foam. I admit, I was a little in awe. You expect it to be very soft and flimsy, but the mattresses are solid. The twin sets are very easily managed. However, the queen sized set is large and heavy - as it should be. You really should have 2 adults to carry and set up. I'm a single mom who wrangled this with a small boy and I nearly wiped us both out a few times.How fast was delivery? Delivered in 5 days! Fabulous!What about the smell? None that we've noticed. Yay!Yes, it is very comfortable! It's a firmer mattress, but that's what I was looking for. Absolutely it is a great buy and a great value! My boys love their new sets. I tested it out and had a great night's sleep.Why only 4 stars? I have absolutely no idea what I would have done if I hated it. There's no way I was going to get these beds packaged back up to return. I've seen in the reviews the company is good to deal with if there's a problem so I'd feel comfortable about that. But what if I just didn't like it? Too hard? Too soft? Ugh. That's the drawback - it's an online with shipping purchase. No benefit of having someone deliver, set up and take away if unhappy.
