Excellent Value
By Greg Wright
I purchased this frame to go with my new Novaform foam mattress. I'm a big guy (300+), so I wanted something sturdy and durable. After reading everything I could about this frame, I settled on it. I was a little worried, because I'm very hard on furniture. In this case, however, it seems my worry was misguided. This frame is built like a tank. It doesn't wobble or even creak when I plop on it. I DID use my own wrenches to tighten the smaller legs, and I'd recommend that anyone do this -- the provided wrenches will hurt your fingers (because they're very thin metal) if you try to use them to tighten things down the way they should be. Assembly was a breeze. Lean the three pieces against a wall (ensuring that they're facing the correct direction), and the rest is easy -- just install one leg at a time, beginning with the four corners. I lucked out and bought this when it was, for some reason, $165. However, knowing what I know now, I'd pay the 225 it's currently listed at. Highly recommended. I'll post back in a few months to report how it holds up vs my above-average weight.

A Very Solid Product
By PerryP
I researched these platforms for beds for a few months before settling on this one. During this time I slightly changed on what I considered important. At first I wanted it to be easily transported for moving and to have drawers underneath for storage. During my research I found that a common complaint about this type of product was squeaking of the frame with any movement in the bed. I would consider this unacceptable. I reasoned that the fold-up models would be more likely to do this because they had hinges to fold. Hinges mean loose metal against metal which would cause squeaks. Easily transported was still important but no longer near the top of the list. Lightweight designs caused many I read about to get bends or broken parts. I started checking shipping weight on the frames and saw a clear parallel with lighter weight having more failures. This frame is fairly heavy. It's not the easiest to set-up although I did it by myself in about an hour. I was in no rush and took my time to be sure the eight connection bolts used were secure. Each leg fastens on with a built in bolt and is simple. The frame must be assembled upside down making the toughest part of the set-up flipping the frame over when everything is put together. I did this by myself fairly easy but I would recommend making sure that all objects be removed from around it. Once you flip it you need to go ahead and set it down because of the weight. Also make sure to take light fixture into consideration. The frame is much sturdier than I expected. After two months I have had no squeaks, bends, or breaks of any kind. I'm 6'4", 235 lbs. I couldn't be happier unless the frame would somehow give me a vibrating massage. If moving, the frame could be transported as is but dis-assembly is so simple that I would go that route. There is plenty of storage space underneath. I would have liked the drawers but I can live without them. I highly recommend this frame. No boxsprings to deal with, storage space underneath, no squeaking, bending or breaks, solid platform for a matress. Weight is the only negative I can think off and it's a minor one.

By Forrest
I needed space under my bed to store stuff. This frame is sturdy and strong and doesnt squeak. It gave me the space I needed. I am 6 feet tall and I can hide under here.
