Very well made, perfect featherbed!

I have owned a number of featherbeds, and this is definitely the best. It is baffled on both the top and bottom, is very well constructed and extremely lofty. It took about an hour to fluff after removing from the box, and is as big as it looks in the picture. Unlike other similar products I have owned, the bottom/base is stuffed with softer feathers than usual, making a very flexible and soft base, with a nice down baffled top. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for both softness and support. Sleeps like a dream!

one year later (PLUS UPDATE)

I noticed all the reviewers had written their reviews when their feather beds were new. So here's a review from someone (a physically small person) who bought this item over a year ago. Yes it does start out fluffy and supportive but, despite shaking it every morning and punching it and rotating it once a week, I was still getting the donut effect by around the 6 month mark. Now, 15 months after I started using it, the middle is almost completely flat. I now sleep on very edge of the bed to get that support.But that's how it goes with today's featherbeds. They don't make high quality, generously stuffed, ones like they used to. People expect to pay less for things (thanks, Walmart!) and businesses have to cut quality to stay afloat.This featherbed is above average compared to what's out there. You could do worse. I'm about to order another one.UPDATE:I bought a second featherbed from this company to go on a guest bed. Unfortunately, this one has a weird smell that won't go away. I notice that, unlike the first one, it's been treated with one of those chemicals with a made-up name that's supposed to promote freshness. Or not.

The best bed I ever slept in was in Bergen, Norway in 1972. Nothing has matched that experience. When we decided to replace our 16 year old mattress, we tried two different mattresses for 7 nights each. We have aches and pains that won't go away. All the beds made seem to be full of foam. No give for our boney frames. We ordered this feather bed and this has been the best nights sleep since the bed in Bergen, Norway in 1972. We are still looking for the perfect king bed to replace the queen we had. Until we do and after, we'll be using this feather bed from Sleep Solutions! I love this feather bed and wished we had done this years ago!!! Just do it.
