Best Amazon Purchase! Great gift for Fibromyalgia suffer's!

Love Love Love this blanket! The faux fur side against your skin immediately makes you feel warm and has a soothing feel like a super soft baby blanket. This particular blanket is especially nice if you have sensitive skin,.. and it would be especially useful for someone with fibromyalgia due to its lightweight and soft texture on both the micro-mink side and the faux rabbit fur side!! Best of all it doesn't shed!!!I purchased the King size in the Pearl color. The micro-mink side is a clean cream color that has a very soft almost satiny texture to it. The faux rabbit fur side is a nice camel color and is Sooo scrumptiously soft against your skin! My cats and small dog let us share 'their' bed with them.. so initially I was worried about pet hair and muddy paw prints showing up on the clean cream color.. but their hair really doesn't seem to cling to the silky texture of the micro-mink fabric as bad as some other comforters and spreads I have owned and any muddy paw prints could be brushed off the fabric when dry. I was looking for a warm blanket that looked nice and could be used in place of a bulky comforter and this blanket more than fits the bill! Not only does it drape over the bed well, even better it fits into my washing machine very well! That alone is a huge added plus for me as I hate standing around at a laundromat just to wash a king size comforter or dropping one off atthe dry cleaners! My Thinsulate Cyprus blanket washed and dried well.. no piling... no shedding... and more importantly.. NO Lumpy Bumpy Mess from bunched up batting when I take it out of the dryer like most bulky comforters! Due to the lack of bulk and weight of this blanket.. I was initially worried if it would actually be warm enough on cold nights..but apparently the Thinsulate is true to its claim. My husband and I stay toasty warm all night with recent temps down into the 40's at night and we only have the thermostat set on 60 deg. This was the best purchase ever made on Amazon.. and at a much better price than what I found the cyprus blanket selling for at two other stores! With the added woo-whooo of free shipping on top of everything else!

Good Blanket...warmer with two...

Ok, so I would consider myself a blanket connoisseur. Over the last 5-6 years I've purchased maybe ten different blankets for my bed. Lately, I decided I was sick of the upkeep required for a down comforter so I wanted to get a good blanket to replace it. I bought a cheap one at a discount store and it sheds EVERYWHERE. So, it had to go. Also, I had to double up two blankets at the time to be warm enough at night and would often wake up with my feet cold because one blanket shifted and only one blanket covered them. Overall, it was a cold mess (literally).So, I decided to shell out on a nicer blanket and took a chance to buy this sight unseen.First impressions..the blanket is soft and attractive. Not as soft as some I've had and not as attractive as some I've had either but nice. With regards to color, I bought pearl and the whitish side is just slightly more yellow than expected and the other side is beige similar to the picture. Still, all around just fine and nice and soft. As a huge plus it doesn't shed!Now, for the warmth factor. When I first hop in bed, I'm cold and I'm pretty sure I won't make it through the night and this is in California where my apartment runs around 68 degrees. With that being said, I fall asleep and have never woken up cold like I used to with my double blanket set up. If I think back to the times I had a lightweight down comforter I'd say its pretty comparable and actually better because it doesn't slide around in the comforter cover.Now, for the interesting part..when the bf sleeps over, it actually becomes unbearably hot! This must have to do with the thinsulate but I actually can't stand sleeping under the same blanket in my temperate california apartment! I had to get out my old blanket so that I could make it through the night! (This definitely didn't happen with my old blanket setup or when I had a down comforter).So overall I'd say its a four star blanket for a Californian and maybe a five star for someone with down allergies who lives in a cold climate!

I purchased a King size in sage and then came back for a Queen size in the pearl. The colors are both gorgeous. The comfort of the softness is off the charts. They are NOT too warm at all. They are beyond cozy and warm. I washed the sage blanket on delicate cold and dried on the delicate setting. It washed beautifully and I was amazed there was absolutely NO LINT in my dryer lint catcher from this blanket!!! There is NOTHING about this blanket you will not love. It is worth every penny AND shipping time is incredibly fast! Thank you Brookstone!
